Pedestrian safety~~There is no such thing as "pedestrian safety" in Costa Rica. If you don't keep your wits about you,... about you, it can be very dangerous. Holes in the road/sidewalk to automobiles and bad men with guns on motorcycles....

American Culture~~If you don't want to hear that, it still means your living in the American culture and not the Tico... the flow. "Tica System Down" just means things will be less smooth than you are used to, but as normal for Costa Rica....

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica.
